Affected deeply by StevieRay Vaughan, and combining influences also from other blues masters, Wei wei has formed his own powerful playing style. He is the lead guitarist of three local blues bands: MOJOHAND, Mi Zang and JIU. On June 2016, following the blues historical path, he traveled from Chicago, St. Louis, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and other states. During the 40 days of blues journey, Wei wei had accomplished over 20 live shows, jamming with blues masters including Billy Branch、Lil' Ed Williams、J.W.Williamson、Sumito Ariyo Ariyoshi、Willie Buck、 Bob Stroger、Jimmy Burns、Blind Mississippi Morris、Matthew Skoller、Tom Bolland、Gus Thornton, etc.

On the way of tone seeking, Wei wei became a great fan of Mad Professor pedals. Royal blue overdrive, Silver spring reverb and Deep blue delay followed him to over 100 live performances each year. “I do not like my tone to be colored too much. Royal blue overdrive is super dynamic and very transparent. It followed me everywhere!”, said Wei wei.
